Acceptable Use Policy
Part of our terms of service: where the tag may go, how verdicts may be used, and what is off limits.
Version beta-1, October 15, 2026.
This policy is part of the Telltale Bot terms of service. It applies to every account and everyone who uses one. "You" is the customer and the people using its logins.
1. Where you put the tag
- Install the tag only on sites you own or are authorized to run tags on.
- Keep it off pages whose address reveals sensitive information about a visitor, such as a health condition, religion or sexual orientation, and don't put such information, or names, email addresses or other contact details, in a member ID or page address you send us.
- Don't install it on sites or pages directed at children under 13, or under the age the law that applies to you sets.
2. How you use verdicts
- Don't base a decision that has legal or similarly significant effects on a person, such as refusing them an account, a purchase, a job, credit or access to a service, on a verdict alone. Verdicts are probabilities.
- Don't use Telltale Bot to discriminate against people for who they are, or to track, profile or identify people across sites.
- Don't use it for anything unlawful, or to help anyone else break the law.
3. The service itself
- Don't reverse-engineer the script or the service, or send made-up or altered reports to work out how verdicts are reached.
- Don't use Telltale Bot, or what you learn from it, to build a competing product, to test or tune automation meant to evade detection, or to offer evasion to others, and don't publish ways around it.
- Don't send reports with a site key that isn't yours, flood the service, or try to get around your plan's limits (for example with several accounts or repeated trials).
- Don't probe, scan or attack our servers or the viewer, or try to reach data that isn't yours. If you find a security problem, tell us at support@telltale.bot (see telltale.bot/.well-known/security.txt).
- Don't scrape the viewer with scripts; use its exports. Don't share logins outside your organization, or resell access to the viewer, except to the clients whose sites you run, through logins for their sites.
4. What we do about a breach
If we believe an account breaks this policy, we may ask you to stop, remove data, suspend the account, or end the terms, as the terms allow. We will tell you why unless the law does not allow it, and act in proportion to the problem. To report misuse, write to support@telltale.bot.
